Boys' Hockey: Monday and Tuesday (1/31 and 2/1) Results and New Rankings (short)

Monday

St Joseph 7 @ Trumbull 4
-This was a win Trumbull could have used and instead it means we can't dismiss St. Joseph from possibly pulling an upset in DI.
Wethersfield 1 @ Simsbury 4
-Bad loss for Wethersfield, bringing down the quality of the CCC even more this year
Greenwich 1 @ #9 Ridgefield 3
-Exactly the result Ridgefield was looking for to remain on a hot streak
#7 South Windsor 1 @ Conard 0
-South Windsor beats Conard again, and it was extremely close again (4-3 in OT last time).  It may be a win but if S Windsor wants to be considered one of the best teams in the state, they need to score more than one goal on a team like Conard.
NOTE: New Canaan improved to 13-0 with a 6-2 win over DIII Staples-Weston-Shelton.

Rankings

I will post my full new rankings on Superbowl Sunday (2/6) but for the time being I would drop ND-WH to 5, move Hamden up to 4 and Xavier to 3 (Xavier was up 4-0 on Hamden at one point) and I would keep WH at 6, S Windsor at 7, G-bury at 8, Ridge at 9 and put Darien on their own at 10.
