Boys' Basketball: NHR Rankings & My Games of the Week Ahead

It seems that no website or paper brings you state-wide coverage of high school basketball.  Either you're getting good reports on Fairfield County, weak coverage of the Hartford area, and random games around southern Conneciut/New Haven.  Until now...I do gather information from other sites for my own knowledge but all high school basketball write-ups are my own original work, unless otherwise noted.

Teams Not in Top Ten to Watch: St. Paul is led by guard Christopher Borea but the question is if they can hang with the higher level of competition in Classes LL, L and M.  Also, Ridgefield is probably the hottest (and certainly the best) team in the FCIAC so look for them to make a lot of noise in Class LL.  Although Fairfield Prep (9-3) has dropped out, remember they play an extremely tough SCC schedule and then in the SCC Tournament.  Oh and don't sleep on Glastonbury, 11-2 now, right here in the CCC.

Games of the Week Ahead:
#1 New London vs Stonington on 2/4 @ 7pm
-Stonington has won five straight since their loss at home to New London on 1/4.  A common theme in games this upcoming week: revenge?
#9 Windsor vs Glastonbury on 2/3 @ 7pm
-Glastonbury is very hot and actually won the first meeting between these two, 63-60, on 12/18 in the Doc Hurley Classic.  A win for Glastonbury should get them a spot in the top ten next week (probably Windsor's spot) while a win for Windsor confirms the promise that voters see in this team.
Masuk @ Notre Dame-Fairfield on 2/4 @ 7pm
-This is actually the game I am most looking forward too.  ND doesn't play many top teams and the one shot they've got so far, they lost by 2 points to Fairfield Prep, and Masuk plays a similar schedule so a game between the two to decide who is better and deserves a spot in the top ten will be sure not to disappoint.  Both teams are hungry and only one can emerge victorious.
#6 Crosby vs Kennedy on 2/1 @ 7pm
-Crosby won @ Kennedy by 5 earlier in the year but Kennedy is 7-1 since and would love to make up for the Naugatuck Valley interdivisional loss.
#5 Hillhouse @ Wilbur Cross on 2/2 @ 6pm
-These New Haven foes meet again (House took the first one by 9) as Hillhouse sit atop the SCC - Hammonasset division and Cross is chasing Career in the SCC - Oronoque.
#6 St Joseph @ Brien McMahon on 2/1 @ 7pm
-A match-up of two teams having very good seasons that know each other very well, both being from the FCIAC.
#6 St Joseph @ Westhill on 2/4 @ 7pm
-Two teams atop the FCIAC, behind Ridgefield, face off for conference supremacy.
