Boys' Lacrosse: Wednesday and Thursday's Top Games (5/11 and 5/12)

Wednesday 5/11

St. Joseph @ #2 Greenwich @ 5pm
-Greenwich should blow the Cadets out but you never know, especially in FCIAC games and really just anytime two talented teams square off, either can come away with the win!

Southington @ Simsbury @ 530
-This is a win Simsbury needs to contend for the #1 spot in the CCC with Glastonbury.  Southington, on the other hand, can go from a decent team to a good one if their talented players come together and pull out a win on the road in a big-time game!

#9 Newtown @ #8 Staples @ 530
-Newtown is undefeated and gaining a lot of hype around the state.  However, this will be their first major test against a consistently Top Ten team.  The Nighthawks are sure to be pumped, as are the Wreckers of Staples, in need of a big win here to prove that they may lose to the top FCIAC teams but, like their win over Glastonbury, they are better than the top teams in the state from other conferences!

Thursday 5/12

Fairfield Ludlowe @ #6 Wilton @ 630pm
-Ludlowe slipped by St. Joseph by one goal and is stillllllllll looking for that big win that will take them to the next level.  Wilton is certainly the favorite and for god reason: they are stacked with talent.  However, either team can win in what is sure to be a highly competitive game, crucial to the FCIAC record of each team.

#7 Ridgefield @ #4 Brien McMahon @ 7
-Another FCIAC game, but this one is even bigger.  Just last week, Ridgefield was #2 in that state but then they lost to the teams that are #2 and #3 now, that doesn't mean they can't beat #4 though.  Me having McMahon ranked higher than the Tigers means I think they are better and would expect them to win this game but I use the word expect lightly since both are extremely talented teams with an intense desire for winning, especially this year.  You're not going to find a better lacrosse game on the day than this so be sure to stop by if you can!
