Thursday 5/26

(2) Simsbury 12 @ (1) #9 Glastonbury 10
-Congratulations to the Simsbury Trojans for a well-deserved CCC West Championship.  I personally caught the second half of this one (from 6-6 in the 3rd) and Simsbury just looked better on all fronts in the second half.  They were playing lights out defense, very physical that cost them penalties sometimes but they did score while a man down and they made Glastonbury really work for their goals.  On offense, Simsbury was running the plays they wanted to, Glastonbury's defense would come up with a strip every couple possessions, but Simsbury was scoring on the other ones so they didn't mind.  As the fourth period went on, even with the score tied or only being down one Glastonbruy just played scared, didn't run their plays well and got some unnecessary unsportsmanlike penalties to cap off a disappointing game.  My MVP for the game, although #12 Timothy Bulmer was in almost every play on offense, would have to be Simsbury's goalie, pardon me for not knowing his name, would made not only a lot of saves, but a lot of really tough saves and did an exceptional job clearing the ball for the Trojans.

(2) Windsor 6 @ (1) South Windsor 5 OT
-This one took overtime but once again, the two seed and regular season loser gets revenge and the championship trophy.
