-The number one team in the state loses to last year's SCC Champion. The SCC is just so stacked for baseball this year that pretty much every conference game is worthy of a feature. The next result just shows more of the same!
Xavier 3 @ Sheehan 1
-The Class LL runner-up from last year shocks the defending Class L champion at home. Brett Madore led the way for Xavier with 3 hits, one of which was a home run. Another knocked in Matt Burns while Steve Lockman also went deep to round out the scoring. A top recruit in New England, Troy Deleon, shut down Sheehan for a complete game one-run win.
