-Good bounce back for Staples, handing Darien their first loss of the young season.

-This score is just a little scarry to me, like Newington is that good this year! Granted G-bury is a little banged up by injuries but 25-9...really? Wow. Peter Feeney had 8 kills for the Indians in the win and Matt Cyr had 6 for the Thomahawks.

-Harrison Kime had 21 kills for Farmington and Dennis Waibel had 45 assists for Wolcott Tech!

-For Kolbe, Jeremy Ortiz had 10 service points, four kills and three blocks. Joel Espada had six kills and three blocks. Chris Lopez had 10 digs. For Masuk, Collin Neaton had 28 assists and six kills. Chris Stevison had eight kills. Connor Eaton had 18 service points and eight aces
